McDermott Financial Solutions (MCDFS) specializes in consulting on the development and implementation of banking, financial and business strategies. This includes debt acquisition or debt restructure, cash management, investments and electronic banking. MCDFS can give your company the knowledge and experience of a 30-year banker who is independent of any banking organization. Together with our clients, we design long-term strategies to achieve the most advantageous financial performance for their business.
The idea that there could be a better way to help business owners solve banking problems caught our attention. We believe there is a gap in the marketplace where business owners are looking for an experienced consultant to give them an independent assessment of their situation. Business owners need to know they have options.
Our client base includes private, closely held businesses primarily in the metro Atlanta area.
The inspiration for MCDFS came from several professionals in company founder, Bill McDermott's sphere of influence who had clients that were struggling with the dramatic shift in the banking industry. Those circumstances led McDermott to start MCDFS in April 2009.
Bill McDermott has over three decades of experience in the banking industry with 25 years working with private businesses. Clients work with Bill based on his ability to get results, his ability to build long term relationships based on shared values and his integrity.
Outside of his profession, Bill serves on several civic boards, he also volunteers his time with Gwinnett Habitat for Humanity, North Georgia Walk to Emmaus and Norcross First United Methodist Church. He is active in the Atlanta Executive Forum and The Southern Resource Group. He is married to Martha and they have two daughters, Meredith and Elizabeth. Bill is a graduate of Wake Forest University.
